Overview
This policy explains how cancellations and refund requests are handled for gist. subscriptions.
Try Before You Buy
We offer 20 free captures to every user, with no credit card required. This allows you to fully test the speed, accuracy, and utility of gist. on your specific Mac hardware before committing to a paid plan.
Direct purchases include license key activation inside the app (via `gist://activate`) after checkout success.
Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your Monthly or Annual subscription at any time. For direct billing, use your account settings or Lemon Squeezy receipt link. For App Store billing, cancel from Apple's subscription settings.
Refund Eligibility
Because we provide a functional free trial, we generally do not offer refunds for "change of mind" or once a billing cycle has been utilized.
However, we want you to be happy with the tool. We will consider refund requests within 14 days of your initial purchase if:
- You experienced a verified technical issue that our support team could not resolve.
- You were accidentally charged for a renewal after a timely cancellation request.
App Store Refunds
If your subscription was purchased through the Mac App Store, Apple is the merchant of record and handles all refund decisions.
To request an App Store refund, use Apple's Report a Problem flow: reportaproblem.apple.com.
We cannot issue or approve App Store refunds directly, but we can help document technical issues for your Apple request if needed.
How to Request a Refund
For direct (Lemon Squeezy) purchases, email support@gistapp.net with your order number and a brief description of the issue.
For Mac App Store purchases, request refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com.
We aim to process all requests within 3-5 business days.
